Dysfunctional Voiding

This condition is used to describe unhealthy urinary habits. Voiding problems can be linked to bathroom habits, physiology, and anatomy. Often non-invasive treatment can successfully treat dysfunctional voiding.

When a child is old enough to control their bladder, urinary incontinence is referred to as enuresis. This lack of control is not the child's fault and can be caused by a number of things, including anxiety, ADHD, constipation, and diabetes.

Hypospadias is a birth defect which only affects male children. It is an issue where the opening of the urethra is not at the tip of the penis. This can cause issues with urine flow and, later in life, can cause problems with semen flow.

Kidney Obstruction

Kidney obstruction can affect anyone at any age but is common in young children. This is a block in one or both of the tubes that connects the kidneys to the bladder. The blockage can be caused by Ureteral stones, constipation, and internal tissue growth.

Vesico-Ureteral Reflux

This condition is when the flow of urine goes back up the tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder. Most common in infants and young children, it is caused by a malfunctioning flap valve located where the ureter joins with the bladder.

Peyronie's Disease

A testicle that hasn't moved down from the scrotum. In typical development, the testicles begin developing in early pregnancy and descend at 32-34 weeks. This affects 3 percent of full-term male children. Typically, the testicle(s) will descend on their own. By 6 months of age, less than 1 percent of babies will still have issues.
